I voted yes, but I don't have a strong opinion about it either way. If Koeman wants to use it, that's fine. His tweets all seem fairly anodyne anyway. That is probably a good thing given his honesty in other areas. The thing I wouldn't get from his point of view is the abuse he must get on his timeline, I'm sure he happily ignores it but then you say what's the point.

This shows he has a sense of humour as the bottom tweet is one he liked, when the lad was replying to one of his tweets by calling Mr. Koeman a snake.

It's just Dave using it as another stick to beat Koeman with, whilst professing to support him.

Twitter itself isn't the problem. It's what you put on it that counts. As long as Ronald doesn't embarrass Everton I'm more than happy with him using it. Just wish he'd post a few more pics of Debbie:coffee:
Wrong.

I genuinely do like Koeman and he was my first choice for Martinez's successor even before it looked likely Martinez would be sacked early this year. I think he can have us playing a bit more positively and getting numbers forward than he is now if or when he has the chance to bring real quality into key positions - it's clear to me he was shackled in the transfer market this summer. The football isn't aesthetically pleasing atm, but he's not a hoofball manager by nature like Moyes was. He's tough and direct...likeable traits in a manager.

What I dont like has been his isolation of a player like Barkley. Unforgivable as a strategy to get the best out of that particular player. It was hamfisted and I suspect he wont be trying that public dressing down again with him. The use of a twitter account is irritating more than anything - though this medium has the vast potential to drop himself and Everton in the crapper more than any other and he should swerve the use of it here. Another thing I dont like is not really down to him, it's down to the attitude of others toward him. There's an obsequiousness in a lot of the postings about Koeman. Too much deference is shown. Respect his playing career for sure. But he's nothing for a club like ours to be down on its hands and knees thanking the Lord for his presence here. He's pretty much nothing as a manager in the grand scheme of things, and as far as I'm concerned he gets plaudits from justifying his huge salary by reaching significant targets. No free passes. Always remember: this club is a giant of English and therefore world football. It's his honour to be here with us, not the other way around.

I live in a mudhut, not a bog you racist
Your mudhut was erected in a peat bog which demonstrates both your lack of common sense and stubborn commitment to engendering national stereotypes.

@davek just for clarity I am now insulting Prev directly and not making sweeping generalisations of his fellow Irishfolk (I use the term 'folk' rather than 'men' so as not to offend you on the grounds of misogyny).

Also, Ronald has just dm'd me on Twitter to say this is all a massive overreaction, Dave is a biff (his words) and that he will continue to Tweet whether our idiotic fanbase want him to or not (#shockedface).

He also sent me a photo of his medals with the message 'sniff it' attached.

I think it's great that our manager can reach out to us in this personalised fashion.

He just DM'd me saying your mar is a lovely woman and that he "trusts" in your discretion.

Naw, Dave's all right, he's just a stroppy bugger who'll often take a contrary view just for the sake of devilment, something I would never do.

Obviously that makes it hard to judge if he's serious or not, so I tend to assume he's not.

Polar bears mate with grizzly bears now. They're called Pizzlys

I was on a roll while berating dave and Prev mate, so your post was just there asking to be included.

The thing is Dave, you keep on saying that you genuinely like Koeman, then lay into him with gusto the second he does something you don't agree with.

I'm not saying we have to lavish praise on him for everything he does, or that he should get anything approaching a free ride. I personally was more disappointed by his dismissive reaction to our cup defeat against Norwich, than I was by the performance itself. I believe he needs to be accountable for his actions and take both criticism and credit when applicable.

It's not the fact that you criticised him over the Barkley affair; it was the way in which you totally vilified him like it was a capital offence or something. You were like a dog with a bone for weeks afterwards and you're till bringing it up now. And it's the same with this twitter thing. He's not said or done anything wrong yet, but you're acting like he's dragging the club through the gutters.

I've just feel as though you have been waiting for Koeman to somehow slip up so you launch into him. That's not usual behaviour towards somebody you genuinely like.

By the way, I agree with you that there probably is too much deference shown by some on here. The last thing we need is some form of Kloppmania creeping in. But I think the vast majority are just giving him some time to turn things around which is how it should be.
