Kirkby situation

Danny, re the locked Kirkby thread: can you define 'significant developments' please?

PM/Profile message would have been better than bringing an old topic back...

What I said is fairly self explanatory.

If anything emerges that hasnt already been discussed a million times before and is worthy of discussion then by all means, continue the discussion. But until then, lets just see what happens. A decision is expected within the next few months.

Why was the Elstone on Radio Merseyside thread merged with the Kirkby one, though?

Because it was a stadium discussion :)

You're the guvnor mate...(y)

...I believe Mr Elstone is conducting an interview (another...what's the media blitz for?!) with the Echo tomorrow or Saturday. Will you open up the Kirkby thread for that or will it be ok to open up a fresh thread? Just tryng to clarify.

If its something which adds to the existing debate, I will reopen the thread. If I haven't opened it in time, create a new one and i'll merge.

Inactivity have led to over scrutiny and tediousness.

I wouldnt have thought that wouldnt be a significant development, it will just be the same stuff as on the radio last night

Which is why I said;

Everything that can be discussed, has been. If something new emerges then I'll open the Kirkby thread but until then - I say lets just wait and see. We've all said our bit.

Didnt see your post danny, we must have done it at the same time. Quite agree with ya, the subject is done to death and until we hear the verdict there isnt much point in discussing the same things

Is this policy only regarding the stadium issue or will this be enforced on other issues as well?

I think with the decision due in 5 months time, this would be a great time to concentrate on the actual design of the stadium. I think Elstone mentioned that there is room for modifications of the design so if you can make a few modifications what you have?

Dont forget once built there's nothing that be done. So any improvements to the design only that are sensible affordable and do not involve the location changing or a complete rebuild now is your chance. So put aside for one moment whether you want to move or not, it is irrelevant to this topic.

My number one change would be for the boxes behind the goals to go, so that we have a huge single tier behind both goals.

Thus removing in part 1 of the reasons were moving in the 1st place, ie more corporate boxes. Personally i wouldn't change a thing, i have always liked the design
