2025/26 Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall

I guess you didn't bother to read it yourself!
I’m going to make this point again because I feel like it keeps not getting through: the place he’s at in his career matters. The likely development of the player matters and in this case his development is likely over. When we’re bringing up guys like Salah and KdB who were much younger it just isn’t the same thing.
That is rubbish mate. Very good player bought from a crazy club where money is no object. As you know a lot depends on player blend, tactics and opportunity. If you think Chelsea are role models...
So much of this feels like people just accepting the very good part as fact and then thinking it has to be proven he’s not actually very good. But I really feel like he’s the one needing to prove he’s very good in the first place.

I think in our games so far he has and it is very early days for this squad.

Chelsea also gladly let KDB and Salah leave

Not saying KDH is the same level before you jump on it, but am saying a club letting a player go is a poor argument for saying they aren't good enough
This is like the third or fourth time I'm assuming he mentioned the lack of game time at a club that collects players like Pokemon, because I challenged him on this flawed point like a month ago. Apparently he's just operates in cycles regurgitating the same arguments in a thread of a player he supposedly cares for. I wouldn't be surprised if he was an AI program designed to cause migraines so pharmaceutical companies could make a profit

I really liked what I saw of him at leicester.

( Didn't see much Chelsea )

And I like what I'm seeing of him now.

That's as much as I need at the moment.
I liked what i saw at Leicester too
Where hm very rarely played as a 10
Think it's quite clear to see there is a very solid player there currently just being misused a bit

Really hoping we drop him deeper. Put Garner at RB for a while and let KDH play in that central role with Alcaraz ahead. If JB is going to be out for a few more months, got to play JOB in his actual position.

I personally very much dislike the Garner at RB for a prolonged time shout as it means we're taking a good (and in-form) CM from CM and sticking him at RB where he'll be exposed a lot more and everyone will be on his back after the 1st mistake.

We could always play Coleman, new contract and all, seems to be doing 80 or so min for Ireland recently, of course.

Or we could do something crazy and actually buy a RB...especially now with JB out (get O'Brien in the middle already FFS!).

Oh yeah we should've during the summer as it was a pretty obvious weakness that JOB was nothing more than a stop gap for.

But then we did extend Coleman's contract so he can be a cheerleader who rarely plays so I dunno, great recruitment strategy as always.

At this point, we should be signing a first choice RB as soon as the January window opens. Garner is a better option than Coleman at RB and we have more options at CM than we do around the pitch. KDH and Rohl can offer us more in midfield than Coleman can offer us at RB in my view.

I don’t think everyone would be on his back after 1 mistake. He was excellent at LB despite a few times being caught out yet no one got on his back at those times.

Nah. His profile was for instant impact. The money meant he had to be instant impact. It’s disappointing and problematic already imo.

Mate .. just be happy we don’t have doucs giving the ball to the opposition or kicking simple 5 years passes out of play and then walking around smiling … or Cack Harrison shinning the ball out for a throw 9/10 times

Garner - CM ( End of )

( Haha Only joking lads - have your opinions

I just love love the lad and think he's the linchpin of our midfield..

Blame others for are shocking approach to the fullback situation.

Garner shouldn't be the scapegoat for that transfer window.

Agreed on the first part entirely and overall I get what you mean, but JOB was also excellent for a while - playing players out of positions leads to them underperforming as you get to see more of what they lack about the position as it'll get exposed.

Now, Garner is a very versatile player and that's an advantage, but I don't want to see Tom Davies mk2 where in a year's time (if he's still with us) he doesn't have an actual position and is meh everywhere instead. He can/could be a stop gap for a month or two, but he'll also need to be rested before that as we'll be down a few players for the AFCON.

End of the day, we need an actual RB playing at RB.

Could always play him next to Garner and have 2 ball players in midfield for once. Eventually we’re going to have to move on from gana he’s already about 43 years old at this point
