Pretty funny how every positive comment I’ve seen about him elsewhere is people saying how professional he is, literally nothing about his footballing ability.

I remember the thread when we were signing Gareth Barry being a disaster as well… it’s that kind of player except he creates much more and isn’t as good defensively (though could probably learn when he loses a bit of stamina in like five years)

But, I then saw his championship stats which are really impressive - 25m seems a decent deal for him all in all

Not his fault at all. For me he always looked good whenever he got on the pitch for Chelsea regardless, he was just never first choice for them..

Confident that we'll get the version of the guy who was the best player in the Championship by some distance at Leicester.

Looked good in the Europa Conference and was teying to get in ahead of Caicedo and Enzo, both worth 3 times more than him. He improves us and after last night we need players who can hold on to the ball desperately.
