He came into the game 2nd half, he was annonymous the first half.

Davis was MOM.

My point was he wouldn’t be competing with Lookman, Richarlison or Walcott. If he gets into the team I think it’ll be as a CM or AM.

Ok so even if you discount that he can play out wide, he’s still third choice for his “preferred” position.

Tbh it seemed to be a 442 with Siggurdson and Sandro alternating between going wide and tucking in to make more of a midfield cube. Davies and Dowell were pretty much side by side in a deep 2.

At times yes. He had a little bit more freedom than Davies for me.

It was often Davies winning the ball or picking up off the back four and then looking for Dowell.

They both used Gylifi as an outlet. He held the ball well.

Credit were credit is due, I thought he played well tonight.

However, you`d expect him well against perennial Championship strugglers.
