Do I? ****, I'd never noticed.
I could be wrong but that was my immediate reaction
Do I? ****, I'd never noticed.
Ian Wright said exactly the same thing. But he's black so it's alright.
The fact that Suarez and Terry still have their jobs indicates to me that racism is tolerated in football far more than most other fields of work.
Anywhere else if you were found guilty of racism by an internal tribunal you'd be out of a job.
Wearing "kick it out" t-shirts just seems a rather tokenistic gesture to me.
I apologise about the grow up bit, it was wrong on my part, but, your colour has a lot to do with it, you as a white man can't experience racism to the same extent as a black man, just because people don't go around calling them n****r anymore doesn't mean racism has been eradicated. There's been enough examples of institutionalised racism, especially by the police, and the courts.
If a black janitor hates his white boss that's less likely to matter than if the white boss hates ther black janitor. Surely that's obvious?
As a white person, I am unlikely to ever be in a position where everyone in a position of power of me is of another race, even if I have one black boss, it's unlikely that his boss and the union rep and the guy from hr will all be black too. If you are in a position of power and privilege your racist views will cause more damge than if you're not.
Black on white racism will never be as damaging in this country as white on black racism. Because we're the majority, and we hold all the power, it's really hard to discriminate against us.
Spot on if Terry and Suarez where fringe players for their clubs they would of been shown the door immediately.
So board of all this racisim stuff now.
Black people probably are too. It'd get a bit old after a few hundred years like.
