In the short time he was on the pitch we saw both sides of Kev.

Running at pace, with the ball at his feet was the good side.

Giving away a silly, needless foul away when tracking back was the other.

Fair play to him for being the first to go over to our fans at the end though, and giving his shirt to some young lad, which likely made his day.

he appears to be fading, but was good player for us, for me he would still get more minutes than he does under fat face, on top of all this he is the one who snapped suarez while the 'good lads' jags ossie and hibbo, probably wished suarez luck in the tunnel before the game, you need people like kev, and they need need good man managers, for all his faults moyes actually handled him better than martinez or chubby

I agree with that
He had loads of potential. Moyes managed him well and better than Martinez (who just wouldn't play him ahead of Cleverley) and Koeman (we all know why)

In the words of a great philosopher that I just made up- "You take what you can get"

I personally love the man. I can understand why people don't like him and want to ship him to Narnia, but he is one of the few players in the squad that ticks the flair, directness and ability boxes. On top of that, he is experienced in this league and has stayed injury free for quite some time. So my question is, when he is the only person that can fill this important role, why THE HELL are we not playing him? I think the Lookman shouts are fair (I would not be opposed to him starting over Mirallas). He won't win everyone over, but we need someone like him in the squad right now... If for no other reason than we have nobody else to take defenders on

He's still one of my favourite players in the current Everton side. Yes, some games he can be a passenger, but the same can be said for many wingers / flair players. Given that his attributes are what we chronically lack at the moment - pace, directness, the ability to do something special from nothing - it's infuriating that he isn't playing.

I'd rather the likes of Kev, Vlasic, Lookman being unleashed than the sadly predictable, slow, boring dirge that Koeman is serving up to us by the wheelbarrow-full at the moment.

KM was a striker at Olympiacos. Scored 20 goals the season before we brought him in. He's not a winger, never has been. Why not give him a shot up top, at least until January? He can't possibly be worse than what have now.

Aye, his head was down. Mind you, I've not seen Kev look happy for a couple of years now.

I wish he'd just play the bloke now and then ffs. He's not as good as he was, and he was never world class, but he still has something to offer.
