OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH KEV-IN MIRAAAAAAAAAAAALLAS

I don't really understand his selfishness as a criticism overall. His selfishness is the reason he runs at players and scores goals rather than just tippy tapping around. I want Kev to play because he wants to score goals and make things happen. If we won a trophy from his goals we'll all think Everton are boss and if he goes away thinking he is boss instead of the club as a whole then I have no problem with that at all.

And yet Del gets a free pass for his equally selfish play at times

Seems to be a bit of a strange double standard doesn't it?

I think Del is probably a little less selfish because he gained a new trick at the start of last season with those early crosses. He can now either skin a man or cross early. If the defender comes at him he takes him on, if the defender backs off him he crosses first time. Kev just wants to run at people and shoot but personally I have no problem with that!

on his day he's one of our top 3 players...its just the skill of the manager to make it 'his' day more often, Koeman seems to be doing well in that respect so far.
Super Kev cant half take a free kick too, Lukaku should get nowhere near them with him and Baines on the pitch

It's genuinely astounding that people are STILL talking about the penalty incident.

He can take pens, he'd scored one 5 days earlier, he missed that one - it happens. People say Baines was the penalty taker, but he didn't take that the one after that, or the one after that, or the one after that. He's also missed 2 of his last 4, and was extremely lucky to score one of the others as it squirmed under the keeper, so there's absolutely nothing to say that Baines would have scored either.

The only possible reason for still being hung up on the penalty incident is having an axe to grind with Mirallas and using it as confirmation bias, as it's become quite clear with what happened since that the situation wasn't anywhere near as clear as it seemed on the night.

He's not running at defenders as on his prime. Most of his passes tonight were backwards or sideways, except the brilliant pass to Lukaku, when he scored. Hopefully he can regain his confidence and be more attacking minded

Looks better when playing off Lukaku, linking the play. Not surprising since he seems to have lost that pure pace he had - probably due to injuries. Great start to the season though. Not his best display today but still did well.
