Kevin Mirallas

Don't know why things haven't gone better for kev. Seems a very talented player on his day, but sadly his time here has been blighted by inconsistent performances. I would retain him next year hopefully for European football, but if we really want to challenge the top 4, we need a consistent Kevin miralles not an inconsistent one.

I think he's a good squad player and I'm really happy to have him here.

He'd have been a great player if it was not for the lack of consistency and the injuries he suffered.

Adapted his game under koeman and works harder and is less selfish, still got that bit of magic and is a good finisher.

Prefer him more central now though.

Ever since the hamstring strains took their toll, this has been his best role.

He's a natural finisher and poacher at times, and his link-up play with Rom has always been good.

At 29, he's never fulfilled the potential to be one of the best wingers in the league IMO, and as you say that's down to a few factors - some of which definitely weren't in his control.

If we stick to the same system and play 2 attacking midfielders then Barkley is a shoe in for one place + we will likely sign another.

I can see Lookman as the rotation option here + 1 more...i cant see that being Mirallas.

Although his wife is pregnant and he states in the interview above that he wants another contract...i dont think hes good enough now.

Have to disagree with you.

Mirallas shows his worth to the team and for me he is a starter in the team currently. He is entering into his prime and is an experienced player. If he is not good enough who really is better than him in his position right now? Lookman is still learning and raw. You cannot rely on a kid all of a sudden. You just cannot throw in 6 or 7 academy kids and assume they can do a job as rotation players in PL, it ain't FM.

In the current system theres 2 AM positions. One will be filled by Barkley and i think the other will be filled with a new player.

Behind that theres Deulofeu, Bolassie and Lookman.

I think we had disussed this issue already. Mirallas is starting along with Barkley to support Lukaku or whoever in the remaining 10 games. Then you can get your big name playmaker in the summer.

Deulofeu again what makes you think he has a future at the club? He was not starting games, dropped by Koeman and loaned out. Face it he will likely to be sold. Everton trying to insert an obligation to buy for Milan all along. Bolasie is on a long term recovery and I ask you when do you think he is going to be back fully fit? December or next January? He will miss half of the coming season. Lookman is learning his trade and is raw it will take him time to become a starter.
