Chocolate Cornetto's I think they were. Although you really can't beat the Mr.Whippy with a flake and strawberry sauce on it (or was it raspberry??? And notice how I avoided referring to it as 'red' sauce )

Strawberry first though, although it's been beards since I've had a mint one and I'm craving it now.

Cornetto's were like the smoked salmon of ice creams when i was a kid, especially from the ice cream van, they were dearer than a double 99 with the 2 cups on the cone.

At the end of my Grans st. though was Fredericks in Sintellins, so there was always ice-cream a plenty, then she moved and Bartons pickle factory was over the road so I went from vanilla tubs to picallili everything and pickle munching.

The best ice-creams were in the 'arl style Wimpy though.....
