Kenobi - Star Wars Movie

After the disappointment of The Last Jedi, I’m hoping Solo restores my faith in Disney Star Wars. Having said that, I’ve never seen the need for a Solo spin-off - he’s been a lead character in 4 movies already.

Ben Kenobi in exile has great potential though. Sure, he’s been in loads of SW movies, but in very different circumstances. It’ll be interesting to see his adventures and survival during the height of the Empire after the Jedi purge.

alec guiness isn't quite obi wan in the same way that harrison ford is han solo, as mcgregor despite the movies being appalling has fitted the role quite well already, so I'd actually rather see this than the solo movie with some short arse no mark in the lead role

Disney are going to milk Star Wars.

Worse than what Lucas and Spielberg did to poor Dr Jones.

His earlier years are in the prequels and then he ran away and hid for many many years. I'm not really sure where the story can go to make it an interesting Star Wars film.

At least with Han Solo he had a life prior to Star Wars that ended up with a price on his head, there is way more scope to make an entertaining film.

I would love this to happen. I'd love a triolgy of Star Wars films about Kanobi, one prior to him meeting Anakin, a second during the Clone Wars and then the third set during his exile on Tattoine.

I'd still sooner have a Knight of the Old Republic set of films then anything else that's been floated so far by Disney though.
