Transfer Rumour Kenny Tete

Won't be just a weeks wages mate.
There'd probably be a signing on fee plus agent fees .
Best just agree it all , then wait a week.

Would still count last seasons PSR , must be right on the limit.

Probably the reason why no transfers are wrapped up for us.

If we're a week's wages and a week's amortization away from breaching PSR, we're much more screwed than we thought.

Tete is under contract with Fulham, he can agree to a new one but it won't be in effect until 7/1.

We've effectively done two deals if this is on, that's not nothing for June. Most transfers happen after 7/1.

I wouldn't say we are screwed, far from it.

Multiple sources are reporting we can't do anything til the new PSR year.
Deals can and are still being done just not registering til 1 July.

“However, with the Wales international winger out of contract at Elland Road in June 2026, a number of clubs – including long-term admirers, Everton – have been alerted to a possible cut-price raid on the Whites this summer.”

It seems so, but Silva definitely wanted to keep him at Fulham (and like you’ve said, he’s no idiot)
We know he was offered a contract, but nothing about the length of the contract and what salary they offered him. He can have been offered a short contract on reduced salary.

What we do know is after Tete was injured in December Fulham actively looked for right backs in January. They were linked with new names daily.

Fulham fans are gutted because they have two right backs. Tete and Castagne that no one rates. Tete leaves for free and they seem stuck with Castagne. Of course they are gutted. They much prefer Tete over Castagne. Rightly so.

But Fulham offering Tete new contract and Fulham fans being sad to see him leave doesn't automatically mean he was going to be a starter. If they were to strengthen their team this summer, it would be natural to look for a new right back.
