Kendall thinks Everton should go after Wayne Rooney

Even if we are allowed to re-invest all the money from a Fellaini sale I doubt it would be enough to buy Rooney.

In reality money from Fellaini needs to be spent on a couple of players rather than one.

As for Howard Kendall, he has shown more ambition there than Moyes has in 11 years, however far fetched it seems.

This post sums up exactly what I was going to say.

love the way people take the piss out of everton football clubs greatest ever manager

The piss taking of Kendall on here is on par with calling big nev too thick to comment on the club because he used to be a bin man.

Yep. As much as we criticise the red side, they do look after their own.

Lighten up ffs.

This is a pathetic come-back. It's about respect. Respect for our legends, and self-respect for ourselves as Evertonians. It's very sad to see fellow blues belittling the two men who are largely responsible for our most successful period in our long history.

Pathetic ? Yeah lad if someone else suggested this they would be laughed out of town but because it's a former Everton manager who won trophies it must be right then. We've had one of the worst weekends in our recent history and some people are trying to cheer themselves up a bit by referring to the fact that Howard likes a bevvy and they are accused of being disrespectful ? Get a grip.

And he should never have walked out on us in 1987 but you probably don't remember that.

Everyone on here has suggested Rooney might come back and most are between quite-keen and not-arsed on the idea. Only a few hardcore can't forgive the badge-kissing & him leaving.

Aaah...I see. You reveal your agenda.

I'd love it myself mate. But it ain't happening at the end of this season while he is 27 and capable of securing the biggest contract of his career.

Yep admittedly I've never come to terms with him walking out on us back then. It was the beginning of our demise.
