i still feel moyes has some way to go with the kendall records, i havent any idea if he will break them or not...but for me all i remember is from 82 and kendall and the glory years...

something pretty strange or a coincidence here..under catterick all it took was one game and the blues where flying the first time out. Kendall all it took was that oxford game and we where shall we say champs :p moyse has produced no tangible anything to the equation, but he is up there in your vote? what about harvey? he won us the league..moyse has won us nothing yet.

lol did u see the [Poor language removed] moyes inherited...he's done a brilliant job, if he manages to keep us progressing at the same rate i believe it would be a safe bet to see the premier league in our trophy cabinet before the RS's, HK has got the t shirt but i think everton is moyes' project and should be allowed to finish it

Great call, totally agree(y)(y)

To be honest, I think there should be a Catterick statue near Goodison.

I'd only disagree on principle, because he sold one Alan Ball and IMO that started the (moderate) downward spiral that HK rectified more than a decade later.

But of the 3, to this point, Catterick gets my vote. Agree that DM is probably on track to usurp him.

For different reasons I wouldn't grumble if any of them got the nod. Catterick made us the best team in the 60s (and if the RS or Mancs don't believe ya go ask them to check the tables - more points than any other team 60-70). He wasn't a great man manager tho! Howie took a while but found the blend and brought us untold riches - but I don't think you can underestimate Colin Harvey's contribution. Moyesie has made a silk purse out of a sow's ear and we are reaping the benefits now. So, all in all, it's a close call.

Perhaps the downward spiral started then but I think you do a disservice to everton in the 1970's. OK we didnt win anything after 1970 league but we came bloody close and with a bit of luck (which always seems to allude us) we shouldve won a couple of cups and a league title or two.

Greatest team to win Nowt! Latchford, Dobson, King, Mckenzie, Thomas, to name but a few. Its my belief that if we had a decent goalie instead of Davies and Lawson then we wouldve won something in the 70's.

Bingham and Lee, I rest my case(n)(n)(n)

You make a good point, but sometimes a little tinkering here and there dismantles a winning squad. I think if he'd continued building around Ball, we could have won more in the following few years. It's a little like when HK sold Andy Gray - big mistake IMO (see Sharpy's book for his insight on this) - although that only hastened our spiral, which would likely have happened anyway.
