Kader Keita: Everton to Free Exciting African Winger from Lyon Hell

Everton are reported in the French press to be making moves to sign £5m rated Ivory Coast international Kader Keita this summer now they’ve offloaded Andy Van der Meyde from the wage bill. The player has struggled to make an impact at Lyon since arriving from Lille in the Summer of 2007.

Keita is an exciting attacking player who can operate anywhere across the pitch in an attacking role but is primarily used on the flanks. He is nicknamed ‘Popito’ and is strong, direct, quick and full of tricks so would add a different dimension to the current Everton squad as they look to build on last season’s 5th placed finish.

Might as well stick another 1 in the mix.

Filling pages. Bull Shizer.

Sounds so made up and unprofessional, almost desperate..."now they’ve offloaded Andy Van der Meyde from the wage bill."

Would rather have Keita on our right flank than Osman, at 27 he has a few years left in him as well. Not the best option perhaps, but a good improvement especially if he can rekindle his career with us like Pienaar did. But he might also turn into our next VdM.

With his pace he would probably do well in Premiership, I think he is also better suited to play right midfield position than Obinna... but even on this Youtube clips he looks like a World Champion in Ballhogging :)

But we haven't got anyone who could ever do that in a million years.

If he done the first bit, the running, im sure he could learn to put a few balls in to the box, like a couple that is in the vid. He looks awesome to be honest. Never heard of him like.

Still think Moyes is on the lookout for a pacey right full, he likes his width from there.

If Mbia/Delph signs i think he may go for a 4-1-3-2 or even a 4-2-3-1 which of course could be shifted around if needed to a 4-4-2.

He could be ******* brilliant, he's a train. When Lyon signed him all their fans went mental about having Govou and Kader on either wing. Kader and Steven P would be just as good.

He certainly looks quick to me and a right wing as well, I think he would be a great signing for us if he comes, but the problem is again he would leave for African Nation.

We already have one of the smallest squad in the league and we certainly need quality and number and to lose another key member in Jan-Feb, is it such a good idea?

Havent seen the lad play, only had a look on youtube and the video kept stuttering! From what I did see though, he looked a bit greedy.

Everyone keeps going on about pace, which I like in a player dont get me wrong, but whats his crossing ability and ball control like, does anyone know?
