First of all I wouldn't say it's a massive shame. The man was 95, and to say that's a good innings is an understatement. He achieved so much in his life and made so many people smile, and probably will do for many years to come.

We all gotta go someday, and I would love to reach his age, although maybe slightly miffed that I didn't get the century, but to leave behind what he has is a massive tribute to the man.

Of my generation, so sad that he died. RIP Norman.

I'm gutted. I remember watching him as a kid aged 6 over 20 years ago.

I remember one war film him building a battle tank out of tow truck. Hilarious stuff. Me old man and ma came back hearing me giggling watching it.

PS. He taught the A-Team all they know!

Gutted.

Oh and despite what the Toffeeweb tools said. He was a blue. His agent and his son introduced him to Everton

Which one? Take your pick.

Low reading on the Shame-o-meter yeah but saddening nonetheless in a, he was somehow part of one's life, way. No?

Nobody's suggesting he was tragically robbed of a potentially long and fulfilling life.

He had alzheimers mate. Considering his talents. It was tragic. As it is a tragic disease.
