One of those ones that physically makes you cringe and/or want to die. Euggghhhhhhhhhhhhh

SO, I was walking down the street before, and some girl was sitting outside a cafe having dinner with her friends. She called my name, so I stopped, turned around and didn't have a ****ing clue who she was.

It was already pretty awkward by this point (about 5 seconds of me staring/being confused - trying desperately to remember her face). Anyway I couldn't remember where I'd met her so I kinda just smiled slightly and walked away.

It was sooo awkward as they were like 'OMG' as I was walking away. WHY couldn't I have just said 'Hi' FFFSSSS. This is going to stick with me all week now. I did actually remember who she was too but it was far too late by that point. Not even like I spoke to her or anything we were just at the same place.

Anyway, how do I overcome these feelings of unbearable torcher? Anyone else had any of these magical moments recently?

That's not really that embarrassing to be honest,

I thought you were going to say you waved and said "hello", only to realise that she was saying hello to someone behind you with the same name..

She was saying she liked you and was opening the door to possible fingering. So long as you have another woman to finger the feelings will pass quickly.

This happened to me once. It is embarassing, especially when you get a "How could you ever think I was talking to YOU" look. Still, twenty years on, I'm over it now and hardly think about it any more.

Haha but at least when that happens you have no connection to the people involved. This girl is in the circle of friends of one of my good mates, so it's very likely I'm gonna have to face the same group of girls again.

It was really bad guys lol, dunno what the hell I was thinking but it was a moment of panic and I had an audience too.
