Just for the record.

This psychological block that our fans talk about when playing them nowadays I wonder why Man City didn't suffer this during United's 20 years of domination? City beat them 4-1 and 5-1 in Ferguson's early tenure and even managed a league double over them in 2007 before their Arab takeover. I simply think its about style of play, the same reason why we hold such a dire record against Arsenal (last week was the exception rather than the rule).
Because City have a better mentality than Everton? This is not about Man City, this is about Everton.

I know that but I was referring to why most derby games frequently have a less one sided outcome even where one team is always the underdog as we always are, even Sunderland rack up their share of wins against Newcastle. 1987 we last won the title so we were the best side in England yet in that calender year we managed to lose 3 times to the [Poor language removed]. Its got to be about style of play and ball retention.

Mind the language please.

I don't know how anyone could say it was close. Firmino should have had two or three on his own.

Lots of people on here were saying last night that we didn't deserve to lose.

I never said owt but to me, we were hemmed in our own half for practically the duration of that awful second period and I thought we got what we deserved.....sod all

The second half was Walter-esque.

It's not just derbies though, Everton are notorious for bottling big games, cup matches etc. It's nothing to do with style of play.

The 0 0 at goodison a couple of years ago was just as bad.don't think their keeper made a save in that game either. Our players gave it everything but just aren't good enough

I haven't cried in about 15 years but I actually nearly did tonight. I've no idea why. Just sick. Sick and tired of this. It's pathetic and humilaiting and embarassing and just crap.

I had dental surgery booked yesterday, I watched the game again in the morning on repeat and it gave me such a headache i postponed the dentists until today...
