Today we set a new club record by keeping three successive AWAY clean sheets at the start of a league campaign. The most we had ever achieved was two (numerous times) and the last being 95/96.
Unbelievably we only kept two in the league throughout the whole of last season.

A testament to the depth of the defensive resources we have now that Browning and Galloway have forced themselves into the reckoning. And Funes Mori will make us even more formidable this season.

It's very pleasing that this has been addressed and the improvement is notable and significant. You can't do anything if you are leaking goals at the back even if you are good at the other end of the pitch. It erodes away at confidence and you feel like you are taking one step forwards and two steps backwards.

We now look a more resilient outfit and the defensive solidity enhances the counter-attacking style which seems to bring the best out of this team. Keep it going and there is plenty to build on for this season and hopefully lots to look forward to as well.

Very promising, 3 of them were 21 or under today aswell, well done roberto trusting the young lads to replace the older ones that left us, and well done to them for stepping up and looking the part

They were very slow to get out to crosses last year, then again they never got much support from their wingers, colemans looked better at it this year though

There's excellent blend of youth and experience in our back four,oh and a manager who has the balls to select those youngsters.

Maybe not, but I don't think you can single them out for the defensive problems we've had. The whole thing needed working on and thankfully now that seems to have happened.
