Just an observation...

...not a critiscism (well not exactly)

I joined GOT last August and look in most days, although I dont post that much so I doubt my opinion holds much clout but here it is anyway.
The vibe on here lately seems to have changed. There is still the popcorning and the off beat humour but things are a bit different.

threads get taken over by ridiculous crazes like "yer mar" and stuff like that, funny at first but soon tedious. This isnt the problem, the fact that so many members will quickly move a debate into insults or get so angry, quite often prompted by the ridiculous hi-jacking of threads/posts.

More esteemed posters than I seem to be disapearing in droves.
We are all blues and therefore share a common obsession. Its a pity that the annonymity of the internet allows us to forget that.

Unfortunately, the standard of the forum does take a dip (or a nose dive...) during the summer months. In 5 years we've learnt the nature of the forum means it's almost inevitable...

I think GOT is excellent for NOT getting into a slanging match. The Everton forum is a little different but everywhere else is great. When posters fume at eachother, most of us soon realise how silly it is and we love eachother really. I don't think there are hardly any straight slanging matches as the MoDz are so hot on stopping them (x). There's loads of difference of opinions but that's what a forums all about.

I for one hope the silly crazes continue. I love this forum. And I love all of you. *sobs*
