How much else covered by the umbrella of Democracy that our soldiers are dying for overseas is under threat by not just the American puppet masters at work here gunning for a man with the right to free speech.
For every incident the the west is involved in in this manner, it hammers another nail into the coffin of positivity towards the west and the western way of government. Those at the top never stay there forever, and the crimes of the current elite will one day be paid in full.
 

He may be guilty of what he is being accused of, we will never know for sure. It is more likely that someone will be "paid" to lie, just to get him off the streets and into prison. Where he will be found hanging in his cell, or beaten to death by an "unknown" assailant.

It'll probably be something mundane - like not paying his telly license. They'll just give him life in a maximum security prison for it.
 
There'll be something like child porn on his computer, or a bank account in his name with many millions in it .... along those lines.

As to "textbook suicide" ... noone can possibly know what state of mind the man was in. He could have been completely psychotic & still have had the presence of mind to use something more effective than a blunt garden implement. I don't happen to believe he was murdered by the state, but who really knows?
 
So is he dead? Or in jail? Trying to follow this and the nonchalance in talking about the U.S doing this guy over is wierd. Any input from our stateside folks here?
 
If he's guilty, he'll do hard time. If not, he'll go free. Everything I've read says that this guy is guilty but he's innocent until proven guilty.

That's generally how we do it around here.

(Edit: Sorry, I was talking about the Army officer who was leaking the information, not the individual who runs the website.)

Unless you happen to be muslim. Anyway, this seems like typical behaviour to me, someone shows you up, you create a story to rubbish their name and try to destroy their credibility. Suppose it's slightly better than the 'disappearing' that many governments do with inconvenient people.

They seem to be failing to realise though, that Wikileaks is an idea, and that ideas are bulletproof. Wikileaks will go on without or without the media credibility of Julian Assange.
