Im sure somebody else will know better, but I think we released Kissock and he has just been released by some lower league Scottish team also.

Last time I heard of Viddarson he was playing lower league football.

As I say im sure somebody else will be better informed.

Kissock got released at the end of last season and is now at Hamilton Academical.

Viddarson got sent out on loan to Bournemouth, then FC Twente and signed for them in 2008. He was then flogged to Ksv Roeselare.

In other words....they werent very good and got sent on their way.

Kissock went on loan to Accrington Stanley (exactly) & then to Gretna when they fell to bits & then was released. I've heard he's a great lad but I saw him a few times for the reserves & while he seemed tricky, I never felt he was someone that'd make it.

Kissock has recently been released by Hamilton unfortunately............he may have done a job at Tranmere but at present he'll be signing on the dole. I always thought he was on the small side and a bit of a headless chicken, sad. Viddarson went home, back to the future if you like, I wish them both well(y)

Bjarni Vidarsson is currently playing in the highest Belgian pro league for KSV Roeselaere. After leaving Everton, he signed a contract at FC Twente, but couldn't become a first team regular.

Funny that you guys mention Vidarsson, he's indeed a regular at Roeselare, in fact he's about their topscorer, he won the 'goal of the week' trophy down here for a long range shot he put in last week.

Useful player for Roeselare, good left shot, but the team is on its way to relegation so future doesn't look that bright...think he's already in his mid-thirties also so...

Born 5 march 1988, only 21 years old.

Remember being so annoyed when Fulham - pinched the next big thing from us in England youth internationl Sean Doherty during Wallys time.

Strangely hes now playing at Sligo Rovers, smirk everytime i see him this end!

both kissock and vidarsson were both highly rated and both looked to have very very bright futures (im sure chelsea offered us 3 million for jpk years ago) but after a few years 'improoving' and 'learning' under our youth coaches ,there careers are now set for a really poor standard.

jpk especially was touted as one of englands future stars only last summer.
some may say its the players fault (in respect of his size) but i think the coaches need to do some explaining about why the lad didnt progress.

i often wonder what would have happened to jpk if he went to chelsea instead of staying with us.

i wouldnt be surprised if he turns out to be another ex academy player the coaches have judged wrong...like baines johnson jagielka barton.

So the Coaches at Everton and all the other Clubs hes failed at got it wrong? Unlikely really.

unlikely but possible.

besides , every club he has been on loan at wanted to keep him.
also the only club he has failed at is hamilton.

but i do hope the reason jpk is finding it hard to find a club is probably more down to financial problems rather than down to the players lack of skill.

im keeping my fingers crossed for the lad and hope he still manages to live up to his past potential.
