In the League Cup v. Southend mate, still only one goal in the Premiership

He is a strange one though.

Looks decent when playing for the national team but gash when playing in the Premiership. It's good how all the Americans on here leap to his defence. I reckon he's one of those players who just ups his game when playing for his country and can't keep that level of performance up when he goes back to the weekly grind.

Wiki says 1 prem goal, and 1 league cup goal at Hull.

But I never even knew he played for Hull until about 10 minutes ago.

He can't stop scoring. 30 goals in Holland and 3 straight for the US. Take him in a heartbeat. The light has gone on and his footballing brain has caught up with his natural physical gifts. He's going to be a star.

For those saying he used to be utter tosh....you're right. He wasn't good enough for us a few years ago. But he is now. He'd be the best striker on our roster by a mile. And he's 23 with sell on value.

I just know that I see a completely different player now. Someone is going to buy him in one of the big European leagues this summer.

And he wasn't good enough for us then.

For every Alves, there's a Saurez.

Here's what I see. I see a striker that has few if any peers physically. Speed, strength, size. What I've seen the last year is someone who can now put it on the deck and create chances himself and most importantly FINISH. I also see a guy with the USMNT that can bring others into the play as well. He's just as capable of getting the ball and holding and laying off as he is on the finishing end. I also see a guy who's attitude is in the right place. He's not moaning anymore about everything. He's grown up.

Just my opinion like.

You're right. He won't go to a bigger club in a bigger league and have a great year. My eyes and patriotism have deceived me. I beg your forgiveness.

We will see. He lit up the Eredivisie last year. World of talent, coming into his own.

Sorry, I couldn't help it. @johnnydawg68

Sounds like he was signed to a $30 million dollar contract.
