Seems to suggest that Everton's youth set up is now being recognised as up there with the best in Europe. Youngsters will learn and be given opportunities to develop and if ultimately not with us most will go on to establish decent career paths with other clubs. Unlike Chelsea et al who simply buy up 'starlets' and then farm them straight out we want to take them on and actually teach and develop them. We actually show them the love and help them to progress which other clubs are failing to do.
I imagine there are many youngsters who now regret moving to Chelsea, Man City/United...etc because they are made to feel no more than commodities when they should be made to feel part of a family which encourages them to thrive much in the same way we do with our own kids.
Very proud of our club in so many, many ways and whilst mistakes will be made our handling of youth development has to rank as one of the best.
Zirkzee is ours.
A very valid point, this!I
I have mentioned this before. This needs to be our competive advantage over the SKY clubs. If we can continue to demonstrate a clear path from u23 to the first team we can become the first choice Prem destination for the top young talent around the globe
Yep could be talk of everyone being interested to drum up interest in the kid or we may have already officially signed him and just not confirmed it yet??
?Mods?
Let's hope it doesn't irritate Arsenal too much. I rather have the Giroud deal done.
..we've signed a few youngsters from abroad without a trial. If he is on trial I can only think he's not as in demand as reports suggest. Unless Everton are offering a staggering amount of money if he impresses.
That's what he said. You'd rather we didn't sign a wonderkid forward in case it upset a selling club about their 31 year old unwanted 3rd choice forward?
I'd guess that we've spoken with his agent and his agent has said hes signing for Arsenal or someone...then weve asked him to come for a trial and if he impresses we will pay him a lot more.
I don't think a player would risk injury in a trial game if he had other offers on the table.
..can't really have that, Zat. You might be right but if he's agreed an offer with Arsenal and then Everton came in you'd ask "how much are you offering". You surely wouldn't risk a trial game, particularly if it's in a competition. None of this makes sense. Mind you, it doesn't make sense he's gone to Prague so quickly after landing at Speke.
lol I know.
