Yes, that period of time was when he scored 9 goals in 8 games during his loan period.
Then got his contract and scored 1 in 4.

We shall agree to disagree then mate. He was excellent the following season, steady the next 2 and had another good season after that. His stats show he was a 1 in 3 striker which was decent in a poor side.

I can see why people wouldn't be keen, being honest.

But a nominal fee, 6-months meaning no long term wages being hogged like Besic, Bolasie, Sandro, and he'll want to prove a point either to get a contract here, or in another Prem team.

It's great business, even if it is last minute.

You missed out..

4. Injures himself in warm up v Leeds and never seen again
5. Scores a couple of goals, gets 10year 100K a week contract and never seen again.
So on point 4, that could literally happen to any player we ever sign.
So on your logic we shouldn’t ever sign anyone. Good strategy la.
point 5 is impossible so wtf was the post about

Um? He formed a tremendous partnership with Jeffers. A real team striker who, due to a bad knee injury, had to alter his game in his latter years. He was great, his attitude was spot on, and you sir are talking out of your poo pipe.

I think the knee injuries just took their toll. Super Kev was very much that, Super, but probably after his first full season, I felt he started declining quickly.

But a proper professional, a lovely fella and worth his weight in gold for the season he kept us up.

Point 5 is the story of Gbamin without the consolation of a couple of goals and the reduced salary
