Confirmed Signing Josh King

I just think this is a good piece for us.
If he’s off the bench for a Spurs or Liverpool people think he’s useful, so why not us?

If he does enough, he’ll get a new deal but I still expect us to strengthen upfront in summer anyway.

We’ve gone from 5 year Bolasie signings to 6 month, no risk and that’s what we want.

Well I'm actually delighted with this deal. Makes sense from a number of perspectives and we didn't hand out a large lengthy contract and it had been done on such a way that it is likely to increase his motivation to perform even more.

Still miffed that we haven't got two attackers in and that we've left it so late. We are so slight in the attacking positions even with this signing.

Pretty happy with that. He’s not a world beater but he’s decent and offers something a bit different. He’s an upgrade on tosun in my book. My only concern would be him getting a pre contract elsewhere and phoning it in here so as not to ruin it, but hopefully we’ve structured the deal in a way that mitigates that risk.
They said that about Niasse.

The thing is most of our decent signings over the years, Howard, Baines, Stones, Lescott, Jags, Distin, Pienaar, Arteta, and Cahill arrived for small amounts of money. I think this is a sensible signing, he can spread defences and create room for DCL, James and other players.

Forever blue will be happy with this. Personally I think King is a huge upgrade from Tosun. He does actually get involved in the game and has a bit of pace.

If he’s on at the same time as DCL it’ll be great for him. Atm DCL is just being double marked throughout, you’d hope their running into channels will give us a bit more space.
