Pretty happy with that. He’s not a world beater but he’s decent and offers something a bit different. He’s an upgrade on tosun in my book. My only concern would be him getting a pre contract elsewhere and phoning it in here so as not to ruin it, but hopefully we’ve structured the deal in a way that mitigates that risk.
There are transfers that have a higher ceiling than others. As a club that doesn't have the ability to sign whoever we feel like we should try to have more of our signings be those for me. This is the opposite. This is a low floor signing. Those don't do anything for you if you aren't already competitive.
Callum Wilson for instance lolTo not sign a striker would be absolutely criminal, so at least they’ve done that.
Let’s judge him on his form for Everton when he plays, not what he’s done before.
Read on this forum so many times that players we’ve been linked to are not good enough for Everton, such as Raul Jiminez when we were linked to him a few years ago. Let’s see how he goes.
I was going to point out your typing error, then realised that you were right! No downside to this deal at all for us. It's a smart move from the club and King has a lot to prove. If he can chip in with a few goals and take the burden odd Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison then sound.
Doesn't really seem much downside if the reporting is accurate. We get him on short term, if he impresses then will likely sign, if not we move on.It sounds like we’ve offered a deal on our terms.
No stupid wages, take it or go play for someone else.
Interested in seeing the finer details of the deal, it sounds like a creative one for a change.
