I have massive respect for this guy and he has been a loyal servant to this club since he joined.

He has great ability and has been a key member of our success since Moyes took over.

He is the record appearance holder for an overseas player at Everton and in the 06-07 season he played every minute of every game throughout that season.

But my main reason for such respect for him is that, when Lescott and Jags formed that partnership at the back and he happily sat on the bench awaiting his chance and as far as i know, never complained about it.

Last night on before the AEK game, they did a interview with him and you could see how much he loves the club and how proud he was to be captain.

Much Respect for Yobocop.(y)

i agree, i think that at times he is underrated and doesnt get the recognition that he deserves for being such an important player for the past 7 years

He'll deserve his testimonial when it comes for sure. good athlete, reckon he'll play well into his 30's. Lapses of concentration are his only downfall but one of the best defenders we've had for years 'till the last couple of seasons when he was overshadowed

I agree, has been an excellent servant for us, great professional. If he can add goals and get into areas like he did last night he will be a massive player for us again this year.

He's a talented centre back who needs an experienced head next to him, that's always been the case.

Having a organizer and a communicator alongside him like Distin will be good for him. He's starting to get back to his best.

You've got to post his middle name when you're starting these threads mate, its mandatory on here.

His middle name is "Wilberforce" by the way.

Or even "chicoazul" if you're the FA Cup Final day The Sun newspaper.

great post bluetak.

the only negative thing about yobo, is his hoof pass upfield to nobody.

but yeh like you said, great professional..great servant to the club and a snip at only £5m which we payed for him.
