Lifted from a post on the People's Forum:

"I'm not sure if this is common knowledge or not, but we have reached agreement with Espanyol for a fee for Jordi Gomez, who has of course been playing for Swansea this season.
We are yet to speak to the player, so there is some way to go yet, but Moyes gets on quite well with Martinez (looks unlikely that Swansea will be able to get the money together) who has a big influence of the player. Moyes is also very keen on Joe Allen, but it's unlikely Martinez will let him go without a big fee."

I think 3 mill is a good price in the modern day market.

I am not too sure about that.

We beat the bullet on Cahill, Arteta, Jagielka, Lecott, and Baines. I see this as the same type of genre of signing. get in fast and get it before it inflates in price.

I agree with that yeah, I just meant we aren't up to speed with what most clubs are spending in the market these days.

He may well, be another Cahill/Lescott/Arteta type of signing.

Came through the same Youth system as Arteta, at 1-2 million wouldn't be a major gamble.

Boss name aswell, always gives players that extra edge here.
