I havent met many feminists where I live that promote equality tbh.

Men’s rights groups don’t seem to be great in that respect either though.

I think it fair to challenge those, whoever they are, for whom equality has a more Orwellian tinge of “all animals are equal, but some are more equal than others”.

Peterson himself always seemed to favour the 1950s - where women were often technically equal with voting/employment/ property rights but that in practice were not.

The definition of feminism is “the advocacy of women's rights on the basis of the equality of the sexes.” Is there something you find particularly objectionable about that?

There's a video of an interview with a feminist who rather than advocated for womens rights in a structured and prepared amd factually correct way, mentioned that women always have it worse than men and its not fair. Cue Peterson to reel off a long list of things in which men have it worse. Anyway, the real point is that if you try to attack an academics with just opinions and flimsy theory you will get shot down. I'm an academic myself and I've seen this kind of thing more times than i care to mention.

Oh, and back on topic, i believe in equality, so feminism is important to change gender differences, but man bashing is not tje way to do it

I agree that man bashing is not the way to do it, just feel that Peterson far too often resorted to female bashing himself rather than advocating for his views using structured arguments and data.

I don't like calling myself a feminist as there certainly are branches that have gone too far. Could say the same about being a democrat really.

Human equality is what I am after. Gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, race, ethnicity. religion, ginger, non-ginger, short, tall, rich, poor, etc doesn't matter.

It's the same with any demographic seeking equality. There's too many people who hit the nuclear button every time they feel even remotely slighted.
It causes more harm than good a lot of the time.
