If given a chance now it could make or break his career and future at the club. I wonder if Benitez will be willing to give him a chance or will he look to Godfrey, Holgate or even Davies to fill the massive gap that Seamus being injured leaves us with.

Too slow in the Scottish league...

Have not seen the footballing brain to date that would make up for the lack of pace.

I honestly think I would be a better option.
In your mind, I’m sure you are.

In reality, I’m afraid I would go with JJK.

Anyway, when he first went to Celtic his couple of games were actually quite good and the Celtic fans were commenting on how many crosses he got over. Then it kind of went downhill. But that was a really really bad Celtic team. I mean by baaaaaaad.

He is probably quite a confidence player and I think it will be difficult for him to ever gain much confidence playing for us with all the boo boys.

Yeah I suppose, the boo boys make him play badly, not his complete lack of talent at Premier League level.

Shame on them.

We'll soon see if he's the back up or not, given the options I would go with JJK who is at least a full back, I wasn't impressed with RB last season when seamus was out.

Personally I dont think he will, suppose it depends if the other options, Coleman, Godfrey, Holgate, are fit.
Well Coleman is out for a while. Holgate and Godfrey were poor at right back. He may get the nod, otherwise why keep him when there were offers?

If he concentrates on defence and make sure he does that job properly he can let Townsend play in front of him.
