I will treat that comment with the contempt it deserves -We had two world class players in Ball and Ray Wilson youth players who went on to play for England ...
A team of total footballers the Holy trinity ....

So what was more important? Their age or the fact they were world class footballers?

Age alone means nothing in and of itself.

Alan Ball was 25 in 1970.
Ray Wilson didnt even play for Everton in 1970.
Did you see Bally play?
Tommy Wright aged 22 - Joe Royle, Colin Harvey, Jimmy Husband, and Joe Royle and John Hurst all home grown youth players Alan whittle later on led us to the league title so you are incorrect again ..... that six youth players.....

Comparing football in the 70s to the Premier League, quite an awesome stretch.

How many foren players did Everton have in 1970 Joey?
