No, I said that a defender from a team that conceded 59 goals in a season perhaps isn't the best defender in the league. A team can have very good players and still go down, but rarely very good defenders. AJ went down with palace for example.

There is a reason that comments like these are fairly common from good managers in various sports: "The base for a good offense is a great defense" & "You build a team from the back forth".

And another that I don't really agree with completely: "The purpose of a game isn't to score goals, but to prevent your opponent from scoring."
