Hes definitely staying in my opinion reading Moyes's comments about "consistently saying" he is staying. To be fair to him and everyone at the club their comments and behaviour have indicated this. In terms of JoLo well what speaks voulumes is Moyes comments about him "deserved" being cheered that speaks volumes to me and doesnt sound like a manager whos at odds with a player also the players will to stay, and reports of a bust up.

So the message is clear hes staying for me and i actually think by the sounds of things JoLo is unfairly misrepresented out there in the media, estatic he got the reaction he did yesterday. We criticise the papers on here almost daily as talking rubbish but at the same time we have allowed them to inform us (perhaps inncorrectly) of turmoil strife and unloyalty resulting in one of our best and most popular players be framed negativley. We should really know better then let the red tops divide and conqour is - but hey its silly season.

I will be so proud of the club - for their stance on keeping him - against Citys ubber bucks. Everton we are the white knights of dignity and true footballing values in a footballing world of greed and unethical dealings. Love it.
This.

Everton is indeed the greatest football club in the world with undoubtedly the craziest luvie type chairman the premier league has ever seen anda glasgow type hitman manager with a steely gaze that could shatter double glazing . Love it and wouldnt change it as much as it winds me up nigh on every waking hour of everyday .

I keep reading about the great reception Lescott got last night, "despite the fact he's asked to leave"... ???

Have I missed something? Has he asked to leave?

EDIT: BBC and Sky text both say this.

The Red Rags said he had asked to leave and the other news sources copied them, no idea if he actually has asked to leave

How would the press know what was said in a private convo between Moyes and Lescott. Thats what makes me laugh, was somebody hiding behind the office plant or something?

Ok for one second take a step back and put yourself into Lescotts shoes-

He is being offered the chance to play in a fantasy football team where some of the biggest players in the world could be playing at Eastlands in the next few seasons- being offered maybe 3 times his current salary. Do you not think that just maybe you would have a think about it??!! Loyal or not you would have a think about it.

The Goodison crowd last night should him the soul of the club- we are a team not just a collective group of players thrown together overnight. I hope he realises this. Home is where the heart is.
