Why do you want to play a CB in Midfield mate?

I just think it would be worth experimenting with at least in training.
JS is a cultured footballer and maybe, just maybe his preference and willingness to buy into the footballing philosophy of El Bob might/would be better suited to midfield where errors are not so cruelly punished.

Because that's a mostly isolated example and the position Stones is playing in no has got him as a regular England international and subject to record bids from other clubs for a defender mate.

Well in that case, im sure we can agree he has problems in his game he needs to work on, so maybe he should learn how to play CB before we try and teach him how to play CM.

I appreciate what your saying, hes an elegant player and wouldnt look out of place in an Everton midfield that has had to endure such things like Neville, Heitinga and Leon freaking Osman in recent years. But we currently have 3 quite superb midfielders in McCarthy, Besic and Barry, if we were looking for another midfielder, it would be more a number 8 with magic in his boots.
