I heard he wrote Yer Blues after the defeat against West Brom in '68. Feller was depressed. Again, it's just too tenuous.

Hardly definitive proof. Pete Best is quoted as saying they dreamed of playing 'for the big clubs'. Out of that this 'reporter' concludes Lennon wanted to play for Liverpool. I'd say the daft get reporter was a Kopite stretching a fair bit to lay claim to JL.

Case still unproven. Lennon and Harrison couldn't give a monkeys about Everton or Liverpool.
