John blaine v the Esk

They had an interesting discussion on the business podcast.

First the Esk reckoned he was right about what he was saying all summer about our spending, John disagreed saying he’d been negative and saying it was virtually sell to buy. When we had spent money and probably would have spent more had certain players been available IE Zouma

Also they disagreed on how much we’d actually spent and saved on wages. The Esk said it was 10 to 12 mil saved. John said he thought it was more.

And last was Zaha the Esk said we weren’t interested. John with out giving information, said behind the scenes things were happening and we were very serious about Zaha. The Esk then changed his tune saying, that if you bid under the asking price, basically means you aren’t interested.

I don’t normally listen to the business matters podcast, because I can’t be doing with the Esk. But thought I would have a listen as part of it was about spending and transfers. Made me smile, listening to the Esk get put in his place.

That's the crux of this thread isn't it?

Really, take that somewhere else ta. As far as I am concerned, regardless of how you lot perceive the Esk on twitter, he put countless hours into volunteering his time to help moderate this place, and when he 'left' us he didn't do so acrimoniously. If you actually wanted to discuss things, fair enough, but this thread was really about that pop at that end.
