Southampton will not sell Forster. Even if by some miracle they would deal at £30m this late in the window I just do not see that he is better than Hart. Last season he was injured, went on a worldie run when he came back in, then conceded a goal and then went on a run of chucking them in. Basically, he is, like most keepers a streaky, confidence player. He'd just about sneak into my top 10 in the PL list, but barely.

Having said that I'm not a big Joe Hart fan. He has been over-rated for a long-time but he has the experience of dealing with the pressure of winning leagues, playing in the CL and has shown he can handle it. I'd definitely take a chance on an angry, motivated Hart at the right price. The last part is the key.
Watched a few of their games last season, and in an odd way he looked totally disinterested and hardly made an effort at some very saveable shots.

Spoke to a kopite about hart joining them last week 'in his words why would we need him?' Echoed my thoughts, they have just signed that German keeper karius, who I think will be their no.1 and would have been up until his injury and mignolet who only signed a new long term contract in the summer.

Reckon he'll go to the RS on a short term loan until Jan on deadline day. Will suit all parties. City don't have him hanging around/RS will pay the hefty wages and loan fee, RS get a decent keeper until their German guy is fit, and Hart gets to put himself in the shop window.

I think we should go for him. 2 decent performances from Stek shouldn't mean we don't go for a better standard of keeper. Everton still applying a "that'll do" policy with players. Whereas clubs with ambitions would be thinking "Stek has proven himself a worthy deputy of our main guy gets injured".

Hope I'm wrong but I can see this one massively backfiring on us.

I'm glad that we look to be swerving this one tbh, I rate him as a decent keeper, but I think he will go into meltdown rather than proving that City were wrong to get shut.
Has he got a bit of touretts about him, or is it just me that thinks that?
It's obvious that he doesn't want to leave and I can see him moping around anywhere that he ends up at, believing that he should be City's no1

For Hart I wonder if it was a choice of EFC or RS what he would do, considering how bad they are at defending under Flopp going there isn't going to be a good career move, I still think we are the number one target but if we dont get him it's our call so I wont be bothered.
