Never really been annoyed by my parents to get a job but i thought i wouldnt mind a part time job to bring in some more money etc. Applied for two so far, got rejected for one and the other just didn't get back to me. I really lack confidence going into a new place and my worst nightmare would be dealing with customers so its always put me off and im now back in that frame of mind of "I cant be arsed", I've tried, i know its wrong but they do my head in especially because there is about 20 shops where i live so you have to start venturing to further away locations.

What jobs do we all have on here?

Uhmm, 10 1/2 years in the US Navy. Responsible for around 400 students. Take a job in front of people and you will eventually get comfortable. When I started this job back in April I was nervous about getting up and teaching 20 students, now 400 doesn't phase me in the slightest.

Nothing will beat getting experience at doing it, so just jump in with both feet and hot the ground running (ok, done with the metaphors now :P )

Bring in some more money? How can you make money without a job?

Get a job in the film industry. It rocks.

Work part-time in a hospital laboratory, doing blood chemistries, blood counts, etc. Pay is pretty good ($25 + shift differential)

Going to nursing school too. will graduate with a B.S. Nursing in Dec. 2008

Working in health care here in the US pretty much guarentees you a job.

I got the first job I went for - this probably has more to do with the fact that no bugger else wanted it. I work Saturdays at the local garden centre. It's dull as hell, stood at the till, pricing, lifting heavy stuff into people's cars etc. I get paid minimum wage (£3.40 for us under 18s) so get about £25 a day.

And to make matters worse, bloody Santa will be there from next Saturday

Im the same as you, i need some money to pay for cup games, and nights out, but firstly all the jobs are taken really, and also i refuse to miss the everton match on staurdays or sundays!! (i didnt pay £400 just to miss the matches!!!) so i have to find a very flexible job

I sell myself on street corners for for hot drinks and meals. Can I also point out I am still fecking hungry and thirsty. Maybe I need a career change. I was going to become a pole dancer, but I am not from Poland(i think thats how it works). I tried selling myself for medical science, but they sent me back with a"non-descript" tag around my neck. oh the pain, the pain,

*takes another dram of battery acid from his brown paper bag clad bottle

but seriously though. I now work in the cosmetics industry. They judge the quality of items by how loud I scream when they drip things into my eyes.

I have a part time job in hostipal when i was at college, doing weekends, mainly Sunday, really good pay too, three times what Welton got :o

But now i quit college, i am looking for a job till i hopefully go travelling next year, or i am looking to go live in Spain in 2009 for a few months (Y).

Applied for some IT jobs and Sport Centre plus Asda doing evenings :)

but havent heard back yet:blink:

You want to look at bar work or something of an evening time, I used to work behind a bar and then work in the old Pleasure Island on the weekends when I was in College.

Tiring, but brought in the cash. I had the best trabs out of all my mates.

You can specify to the job centre what times you can work, obviously the more flexible you are then the better chance you stand of getting some work.
