RIP top Blue. Was one of my dad's favourites

We had two fine wingers at the time, Morrissey and Husband, remember Jimmy getting injured half way through the 1970 Championship season and don't think he got back in due to Alan Whittle playing out of his skin and scoring about 13 goals during the run in.

One of my favourite players, a proper unsung hero in our 1970 championship side.
A sad day for any Evertonian who remembers him.
Condolences to his family and friends.

Lived in a little house in Tuebrook, all the Evertonian kids would walk out of our way to get a glimpse and maybe a chat with him.
How the stinking game has changed.

Plus - Dave Mackay of Derby in the league cup cut him in half running in on goal a straight red - Mackay was not even booked for his horrific tackle - football for you Cloughie .... he was never the same after that he could have played for England but for that tackle .... out for ages ,,, RIP to a free scoring winger who could also play no 9 ....

My old fella reckoned it was the worst "tackle" he'd seen in his life, Jimmy never truly recovered.

The one against Chelsea? Still one of the best goals I've seen.

Puskas, the Panathinaikos manager, was at that game and picked Jimmy out as one of our most dangerous players. Took them about 5 minutes to crock him.

Did well at Luton after he left us - a lovely player to watch when he was in full flow.
