Valencia will cost alot of money, you'll have to lower your sights a bit sadly. I'd love him here though.

I know "sniff* I wonder if instead of going after Mutinho or Fellani if we could have had Valencia and Palacios for say 20M (though we might have had to throw in a player as well)? They would have filled 2 of our offseason holes (RW and HM).

Unfortunately I think Palacios is worth about 15M now (Valencia prob anywhere from 8-12M). It was rumored that that Man Utd was going to bid 20M for both and Bruce said he wouldn't stand in their way if they wanted to go. A midfield of Cahill, Valencia, Peaunt, Palacios and Arteta would have been ace. If we had that we'd be fighting Villa for 3rd right now.
