Not enough of the "qualities" our scouts are looking for.
I mean is he slow enough, has he any fight in him, can he pass a football forward. If it's a yes and then two now's, then he's ours.

I don't think he's terrible, but I want to see players come here that are desperate to play for us. At the very least we should be able to find players that are desperate to play for Ancelotti... I doubt Jesse Lingard is such a player, but if he could persuade us otherwise I'd take him. He's British and fast, so if he can prove he's still hungry to learn and develop there's no reason he can't be good here. ... Man Utd fans tell me that he is a bit of a clown off the pitch as well though with stupid social media posts...

What would be the cost of this transfer though? I hear Man Utd want DCL (who I would not sell), so they might want some kind of exchange Ligard + cash = DCL. However, I would never countenance that.

He’s not as bad as what people are making out, I’m just not convinced by him, I don’t see enough of him to give a proper opinion but what I have seen of him isn’t what we’re really looking for. I bet he’d want a massive wage too
