Due to a clause in his contract, he can apparently leave Sunderland on a free if they are relegated.

Would you take him ?.

Since he's sorted himself out and stopped knocking around with the likes of the celebrity RS fan and "ground sheet ", Danielle Lloyd, he's become a truly fine player and all round good guy.

Even at the age of thirty four, he's still possibly the best finisher in the prem, despite playing in a shockingly bad Sunderland team. Looks as fit as he did in his twenties and the stuff he's doing with Bradley speaks volumes about him.

I'd welcome him with open arms, but couldn't see him fitting into the Koemans style of play.

Your thoughts please ?

For Free!! Absolutely.

It's a tough one, as you have to ask where AN Other striker would fit in. Looking at Lukaku this season, a large number of his goals come in the last 10 minutes, so we don't need someone to come on late in games and do what Rom can't do, so another striker would either have to complement Lukaku up front, or be happy playing in the few games Lukaku is rested for.

Not to say Defoe couldn't do either of those things, but given his stock is fairly high, would he want to come to a club and do that in the twilight of his career?

I imagine at his age he'd be wanting to play all the time as he does at Sunderland.

He probs wouldn't get that here, depending on the summer of course. If he's happy not playing all the time, then yes I would.

I'd play Willem Dafoe up front before any of those clowns.
