Jeremy Clarkson

I'm past caring now.

I liked him and Top Gear when it was about cars, but now it's just nobbing around, and he just stinks of a Tory caricature.

It's a shame because if he stuck to cars there's no better motoring journalist around but it seems he just wants to shoehorn as many crap analogies and stereotypes in everything he produces. I think he's run out of ideas and has been actively trying to be sacked (to blame the BBC as a smokescreen for lack of originality) when all he had to do was put the show back to proper content.

Honestly, it's like watching a private school's 6th form common room now. It's a shame, he and the show used to be good - they've all totally ruined it.

It was always like that - nothing has changed.

The bloke has become a parody of himself. He is now just an obnoxious idiot who spouts inane crap so people will read his newspaper columns and rubbish books. He's the male equivalent to Katie Hopkins.

I'll leave it to Stewart Lee to best sum up Top Gear and Jeremy Clarkson etc.

Of course, he and the producer own the rights to Top Gear, and the merchandise and licensing rights worldwide bring in so much money for the BBC, if he were to simply sell the format and name rights to, say, ITV, the BBC would have egg on its face, and a hole in its wallet. He's a right whopper now though.

Not sure I care anymore though - see my previous rant.

Excellent stuff, was going to watch this again in celebration of him being suspended.

Apparently the producer was a work experience lad of 14 years of age. Bad man that Clarkson.

Sold off his shares in the Top Gear Production Company a while back, his massive contract is up for renewal very soon.

The BBC is ready to drop him, let Steve Coogan take over with the other two and save a bundle in the process

*taps nose* ;-)

Clarkson is Teflon, he always survives no matter what he does. People watch the show waiting for his next clanger, it's part of the format and I suspect that the BBC almost wants him to misbehave every now and again just so it can " pretend " to slap him down in public.

he was Teflon as he owned the Top Gear Production Company and half the company that holds branding rights, now he just has the latter (I believe)
They can make it without him and he can't stop them.

So odd that people have liked him at any point in his career. His 'non-PC' shtick is just there for middle beige Britain.
