Theres no point in seeing it as a regret. There is only so long a club can wait for a player to come back into "form", if that was the problem. We gave him plenty of chances. So we have done what is right at this moment, that fact wont be changed if he starts slotting for Hull Tabbycats.

Best of luck to him.

No point in seeing it as a success either thus yet.

Just hope we don't live to regret this. All though he's been poor, could pop up with an important goal or two to earn us vital points. And maybe the QPR game was a sign that he could be on his way back to some sort of form, you never know.

Look at Bendtner, absolutely gash as he is, pops up with a late goal to beat Cardiff.

I don't think so, even when Jelavic was scoring you could see that he didn't really have much else to his game. Bendtner however, although he gets dogs abuse, is technically a far better player than Jelavic is.

I like Ba but i doubt he's the sort of character that Bobby is after. Plus he'd never pass one of our medicals.

I'd guess at Ings from Burnley.

Rather have Ings than Rhodes or Long. But Long over Rhodes for me.

However, we really should be signing a 10/15m striker if we have any sort of ambition.

With this sale, the money HAS to be there to do so.

I think that Bobby was deliberating sticking with Jelavic but the offer came in and was too good to turn down. I'm confident that we had funds available anyway and that we will be bringing in an exciting striker in the next week or so.

I'm gonna have to favour going foreign if we're spending decent money (for us). If Roberto knows what he's doing there's a far better value/talent ratio for me

I think it will be bigger than them. I'd guess at a young, exciting player from the confident who hasn't quite made it yet. It might only be a loan for the moment though because we don't want to spend fortunes on someone who will probably play second fiddle to Lukaku when we could buy someone for another position who could go straight into the side. Although, we don't really have any weak links just now.
