Imagine Wayne coming home? Where would he play tho, main striker and drop rom to the bench? It'd be a brilliant headache for roberto to have.
Lukaku isn't first choice, he's a loanee for the next five months. We can't afford to buy yet another backup considering we have Kone on the books.
It has to be a serious signing, especially as we're pushing the CL spots at the moment.
Sheedy thinks Michy Batshuayi is among the top targets.
of course he is mate, Martinez has already stated he isn't gonna spend big money this window as players are over priced, he wont be bringing in lukaku's replacement for £15-20 mil this month he will bring a replacement for jela in now a 1 in 3 £5-6 mil sort of striker and in the summer with the TV cash look to bring that quality 1st choice in IMO

So basically use the same exact logic as Hull have just done with Jelavic but for higher stakes haha
Sort of agree with you though, but I saw Benteke in Belgium before he joined Villa and he was literally EXACTLY like he has been lately. So I don't know if that season for Villa was a fluke.
I would be made up with Batshuayi, would have to believe that the price would be right now. And he would be happy enough making an impact from bench at first, maybe starting a few games in the remainder of season.
Just for the pure excitement factor I would love to see someone boss from a different league come in.
Demba Ba is quality but we need someone younger to come in.
We can't afford £5-6m on a half-arsed solution mate. Lukaku isn't the first choice Everton striker as he isn't an Everton striker.
Why would he spend £6m on a squad option when Kone returns next year? He'd be blowing it for no reason.
Wayne's World is on film4 in a mo.
It's a sign.
He is still first choice til the end of the season mate, Martinez doesn't need to spend over the top money for that 15-20 goal a seaoson striker right now that's the point, it was obvious he wanted 3 strikers with Lukaku as first choice, Kone replacing Anichebe as 2nd choice and now jelavic gone with that 2nd/3rd choice slot needing to be filled.
I hope to god we spend big on a striker but I honestly believe he has the felli money but is gonna keep it til the summer and combine it with the TV cash for either Lukaku on a permanent or if no chance a £15 mil top striker. I don't think he will spend big this month and I don't think teams will be letting quality players leave in this window
