I know its only early days but last night I saw many similarities between him and James Beattie when he was here. Thats a worry for me.

He looked off the pace, on his heels, went down easy, got out muscled and looked slow

I hope its just his bedding in period

I only saw the last 10 of the first half and the 2nd. But personally I thought he looked decent. He linked up with the midfield as well as you could hope for a striker playing at Everton, did some nice flicks and held the ball up well at times.

Yeah i must admit I havnt been overly impressed yet. He knows how to finish obviously but getting him into the position to do so is a problem.

Early days though.

So far he's not too bad. He seems to be able to latch on to, and hold on to the ball reasonably well. He also seems to get quite a few headers. I think in time he will be good for us.

Jelavic is a good player, we just play Moyes's piss poor attacking football.

Honestly, we end up hating every striker we have and that's because they're always really deep, on the wing or missing the one chance they get a game. Jelavic is better with his feet than we think but without support, or by being pushed out to the wing etc he's not going to be able to do too much.
