Vic upfront for me with Naismith behind, mirallas on the RW and fellaini back in DM for a game or two. Can always bring the dreaded nev on later in the game if needs be to push fellaini up to ACM and mirallas up top.

VIC lad this is your chance...show us you can lead the line from min 1.

stick naysmith or kevin behind him.

We have enough firepower to win this game so lets calm down - I am more concered about who starts in CM and I expect a reaction from the back 4 this week.

I'd rather not expatiate it into a serious injury, give Anichebe or Vellios a run in.

The risk of losing Jelavic for anything longer than a few days fills me with dread. For this reason, I would not be looking to rush him back if there's any hint that he isn't 100%, so I wouldn't consider playing him against Swansea. Vic has earned his chance through a succession of goalscoring appearances off the bench. For the sake of bolstering his confidence, by showing that scoring goals gets you more game time, I would give him the start. Vellios should get a good 20 minutes too, more if Vic doesn't perform.

Stick Mirallas in the ACM role and Naismith on the right (Naismith provides better protection for Hibbert than Mirallas does), and Felli drops back to CM, allowing him to link up with Mirallas to provide an attacking platform through the middle. One of Junior, Hargreaves or Hitzlsperger to play alongside Felli; Heitinga in for Jags: Everton win 4 - 2.

howard
hibbert heitinga distin baines naismith fellaini osman pienaar mirallas anichebe.
that is the team i would play with fellaini sitting in front of the back 4 with mirallas just off anichebe and naismith on the right.

Vellios should never set foot on that pitch in first team colours again. I don't rate him at all, my views are in the vellios thread not repeating myself.

I said not repeating myself.

I said not...oh feck off.

That is an interesting use of the word!!!

Not sure it's appropriate as it is usually used in terms of expanding on a topic in speech or writing. I have never seen it used in terms of aggravation of a medical condition !! b)

We'll have to get used to losing Jelavic for the odd game or 2 over the season. Hopefully we can make do without him (and Gibson FFS) for a few games and make it count when they're back.

He's only scored 1 goal in 4 games lads so its no big loss.

But i think i'd rather have Mirallas up front than Vic simply because while Jelavic has only scored 1 its his movement and all round forward play we will miss, and as well as Vic has done to score coming off the bench its obvious he's nowhere near as good at that kind of stuff as Jelavic but from what i've seen of Mirallas he's probably closer to that type of player that could replace Jelavic.

Vellios and Mcaleny have about as much chance of playing as i do.
