They never surpassed this classic though, such a shame.

am listening to lots of Lee Morgan and Coltrane.
also Gil Scott-Heron, if you want to count him into the jazz genre.

had a phase where i listened only miles for a couple of weeks, although nothing he brought out after bitches brew.
love his old stuff.

strangely i love guitars and guitar Music, but barely listen to guitar jazz. have a couple of albums by wes montgomery though.
still waiting for that grant green phase to hit me.

Oh yes!!! Defo, as i've gotten older, i enjoy the pedestrian pace of it all, very interesting. Not a massive culture vulture like, but i can appreciate it. Think i've mentioned ( forgive my ignorance ) that its improvised.

Coltrane for me & obviously Miles. Forgive the obvious shouts, it maybe me but its difficult to distinguish piece of music from the next.

when i get asked what my fav jazz albums are, i'm almost ashamed to say:
- kind of blue
- blue train. b)

also "something else" by cannonabll adderley with miles
listening to free jazz a la ornette coleman for longer than 5 minutes fries my brain.

i only got into jazz about 3 years ago. didn't like it in my younger years. but luckily tastes evolve over a certain amount of time.

do you like new stuff like gregory porter 1960 what?
boss tune that! great lyrics too.

edit: wanted to post the video but therefore my post count must be 20 or greater...
