Player Valuation: £30m
Noticed this lads on a free transfer now the championship seasons over. Every time that i've watched him play for Cardiff city this season he's shone like a beacon, shows a lot of quality with his left foot as well as strength and skill, scored goals for fun this season. I think Moyes should consider him.

Not convinced hes good enough for the prem, never set it alight in the few apperances hes made a few years ago. One of those players like huckerby and earnshaw-goal scores in the championship, poor in the premier league!

I believe that was more to do with his attitude back then mate, Arsene Wenger says his biggest regret is not keeping hold of the lad when he was in the arsenal academy, I think he's realised he has to put the hard work in to fulfill his potential and from what I've seen he's done just that. Don't forget Capello thought he was good enough for england as well.

Id like to be proved wrong and see him bang in the goals if we signed him. Sort of player moyes could get the best out of but would like us to aim higher, funds permitting of course!

Too static for me to make it in the Premier League, but on a free he'd be OK.

Let's put it this way - if we brought in Bothroyd on a free, got rid of Anichebe for £2m and have Bothroyd on the same wages as him, I'd be delighted.

agree totally.

Sven thought Jeffers was good enough for England.

Got to be honest, i'm not keen (though as Tubey said, he'd be an improvement on Anichebe). I'd be more tempted to look at Danny Graham of Watford, or Shane Long if Reading don't come up.

I honestly don't think Long is good enough for us, the times I watched him he's been average, but does seem to know where the goal is and he works hard but you need to add more than that to be a top premier league player, Danny Graham i've never watched but i've seen some of his goals and he does seem a competent finisher

For Premiership standards Anichebe is much better winger than Boothroyd striker, Moyes just have to use him properly. Didn't want Boothroyd last (two?) summer, when he was available for free, don't want him now.

Completely disagree, Long is better than Beckford, for me anyway.

So you're seriously saying you'd rather have Anichebe at the club than Bothroyd?

If Moyes would use him consistenly as a winger then without any doubt. I quite rate Anichebe playing as winger, he lacks many skills true winger should have, but has good enough combination of strength, awareness and crossing/passing ability which makes him very difficult to defend. Just look at 2nd half of City match, 2nd half of last derby game and a few more.

I know it's popular to mock and bash him, but it's something I will never do just for the sake of it.

I don't knock Anichebe because it's popular - I knock him because he's genuinely done sod all for three years.

And what crossing ability you're seeing is quite beyond me I'm afraid.

Sylvain Distin has scored the same amount of goals this season that Anichebe has scored in three years.

If that's difficult to defend... well...

Most of the times he was playing as winger over last 2 years he was doing okay or better. It's his "performances" as striker which makes him such an easy target, but for that Moyes should be blamed more than him.
